Advisory Board
We have an Advisory Board to assist us in allocating funds to projects in Uganda. The Board is chaired by John Tinka (see below).
Gorretti Baagaya - Advisory Board Secretary & Treasurer
Gorretti is responsible for overseeing all the projects funded by the RDF (UK). In addition, she has carried out specific evaluation and research to support the Advisory Board and UK Trustees identify new projects and areas suitable for funding.
She is now our Advisory Board Secretary and Treasurer.
Tinka John - Chair, Advisory Board
Tinka started working as a primary and secondary school teacher in the mid 1980’s. In the early 1990’s he started to follow his father’s footsteps and began working in conservation. He started as a ranger guide for UWA. After setting up the Bigodi Wetlands conservation area Tinka became a founding member of the Kibale Association for Rural and Environmental Development (KAFRED) and the Uganda Community Tourism Association (UCOTA). He is a former board member of Tooro Botanical Gardens and has served as a TAC member for the Equator Initiative Program. He is currently a board member of the Tooro Kingdom Tourism Board; Founder/Director of TINBET Green Primary School; chairperson Kamwenge District Tourism Association and Chairperson for the Advisory Committee of The Rwenzori Development Foundation, Uganda.
Chris Busiinge - Advisory Board Member
Chris Busiinge is currently the head of the Information Unit at Kabarole Research and Resource Centre (KRC). He is a practicing community development professional specialising in development communication and conflict resolution.
